In a show of support for the Rays of Hope organization, STCC buildings will be lit pink throughout October. The pink lights will shine on Garvey Hall (Building 16) near Federal Street and on Buildings 14 and 15 near State Street.

The college is honoring a request from Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno to show support for those diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. The organization Rays of Hope helps raise funds for breast cancer research.

This year will mark the 31st anniversary of the Rays of Hope Walk and Run toward the cure for breast cancer. October is breast cancer awareness month. The 2024 Rays of Hope Walk & Run Toward the Cure of Breast Cancer will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Learn more: https://www.baystatehealth.org/events/rays-of-hope

Thank you to STCC campus police officer Kendall Tardy for nighttime photos of Garvey Hall, and to electrician Ron Lamb from STCC facilities for installing the lighting.
