Improving course access through Ally!

Ally in Blackboard seamlessly makes digital course content more accessible to remove barriers and help students learn! Ally was turned on in STCC courses for the fall semester.

Students use Ally to download alternative formats such as audio files and world language translations of course materials. Since September, students have accessed 7,307 files across 604 courses!
Faculty can review the accessibility score or launch the accessibility report to gain step by step guidance and make accessibility fixes.

Marisha Marks joined STCC in 2020, after seven years as an instructional designer at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Marisha’s area of interest is in accessibility and Universal Design.
