Have you been thinking about going to college? Now is the perfect time to register for classes at Springfield Technical Community College.

As Dean of Admissions Louisa Davis-Freeman explained on WTCC radio, 90.7 FM, you can join one of the virtual registration events held in August to get all the information you need. The events will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 9 a.m.-noon, and Thursday, Aug. 20, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

You will need to pre-register. Click here to sign up.

Here’s what you can expect by attending one of the events. You can speak with a friendly staff member about the application process, financial aid, academic advising, testing and assessment, and more.

Even if you’ve already signed up for fall classes, which begin Sept. 8, you can join one of the virtual sessions to ask questions. You’ve made a big decision by registering for fall classes at STCC. The faculty and staff are here to support you and help you transform your life.

STCC will hold online classes this fall, along with low-density labs on campus. The college is following the state of Massachusetts’  four-phased approach to reopening the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your learning experience at STCC will be safe and rewarding. Instructors have been preparing their online classes throughout the summer and say they are looking forward to the experience.

Many students choose STCC because it offers the most affordable pathway to a college degree. The programs are designed to position graduates for employment or to transfer to a four year college or university and continue their education in pursuit of higher degrees.

During the challenging times of the pandemic, many students who had considered leaving home in Western Massachusetts and going to four-year universities have decided STCC is a “smart start.”

In the news section of stcc.edu, you can find a story about STCC as a “gap year” option. Students who initially thought of going away to a college or university, where they would live in dorms, are registering for fall classes at STCC.

If you have any questions, set a reminder in your calendar to join the virtual registration sessions. You also can visit stcc.edu and click on “Chat Now!” anytime to speak with someone online. You also can call STCC Admissions at (413) 755-3333 to speak with someone.
