November is ‘Insurance’ Month! As much as we hate to admit it, insurance of any type is a necessary evil. We need to have insurance on our cars, our homes, and ourselves because of what is known as ‘risk’.
Risk is the calculated chance of something unknown happening which could be very costly or catastrophic in nature. Insurance helps to protect us and our possessions against this risk.
Although some insurance coverages are ‘required’ by law such as auto insurance, renter’s insurance & homeowner’s insurance, other types of insurance such as life insurance, health insurance & disability insurance are usually not, but they are just as necessary.
Do you have the proper insurance coverages on yourself and your family? If so, do you have the proper amounts of coverage based on your situation? Too much? Too little? You probably have several questions in this area, and like other financial topics, everyone’s situation is different. However, it’s very important to ensure that you have the proper insurance coverages in place, and in the right proportions, based on your own unique lifestyle!
November’s ‘Homework’: Think of ‘3’ insurance-related questions that may apply to you that you want to learn more about, and post them on this blog site with your name & contact information. Every person who does so will receive a ‘free’ insurance consultation with Prof. Rondinelli to review your situation and get you the answers you need to ensure that you are properly protected!”
