Springfield Technical Community College alumni gathered at the Big E for the annual reception on Sept. 24 as the college launched its annual campaign.
The festive event in the featured remarks from the STCC Foundation Board of Directors in the Joshua Brooks Building. Alumni were able to reconnect with others who graduated from STCC and enjoy a view of the parade.
“We are fortunate to have Gene Cassidy, CEO of the Eastern States Exposition, friend of STCC, and member of the Board of Directors of the STCC Foundation, make these arrangements for our group,” Jennifer Brown, President, STCC Foundation, wrote in an email to attendees.
Dr. John B. Cook, STCC President, thanked supporters, including the event’s host, Gene Cassidy, foundation board members and faculty and staff.
Speaking to attendees, nursing student Leticia Aguilar-Perez said she was drawn to STCC because of its diversity, culture, resources and unique programs.
