Attention STCC students: You’re invited to study the natural world of Springfield!

STCC’s STEM Starter Academy is partnering with Regreen Springfield, a community based non-profit organization, the City of Springfield, and the US Forest Service to launch this program of environmental awareness and stewardship in Springfield.

This 10-week training program commences on Feb. 10, 2021 and meets every Wednesday from 2:15 -4:00 PM online, via Zoom. Find more information here.

The program aims to engage STCC students in STEM majors in Environmental conservation challenges in our neighborhoods. Students will learn how to conduct scientific research under the direction of scientific teams from the US Forest Service and the Univ. of Massachusetts.  Students will present their findings in a research poster competition and receive a stipend upon successful completion!
