The Open Textbook Coordinating Council (OTCC) project team is seeking grant proposals from faculty at six public higher education institutions to remix and develop accessible, intentionally inclusive open educational resources (OER) that reflect students’ local and lived experiences to improve student learning outcomes.
Priority for this grant (ROTEL: Remixing Open Textbooks with an Equity Lens) will be given to proposals from faculty teaching General Education courses and Career and Professional courses in high-demand programs. The submission deadline is Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The review team will meet virtually to make final award decisions within the following 2 weeks. Email notification of successful proposals will be sent by Friday, June 10, 2022.
The recording of the Round 1 information session, as well as detailed information about the grant are now available on the ROTEL Project Website.
Please take a look if you have a chance. We are able to fund a number of projects at STCC and you will receive lots of support throughout the process! The training and work for this round of funding will begin during the second week of June.
I am happy to meet with you over the next few weeks to talk about your interest and ideas for this grant opportunity and assist you with putting together a proposal or connecting you with faculty from across the state who may wish to collaborate.
