Representatives of Springfield Technical Community College joined in the festivities Wednesday night at the Log Cabin in Holyoke after being named best college or university for the third year in a row.

MassLive and the Springfield Republican hosted the event and had fun with their “MVP All-Stars sports theme.” At each dinner table, there were gifts including baseball cards with the names of winners from the nearly 100 categories.

The event included funny video segments about businesses who won awards done in a late-night TV style. The creator is STCC alumnus Dave Brinnel of Dave’s Creative.

Those attending the gala from STCC including Dr. Shai Butler, Jim Danko, Eunice Guidry, Kelly Galanis, Darcey Kemp, Keith Paul and Mary Wiseman. Abu Ehsanuddin, a member of the STCC Foundation and director of food and beverage at MGM, also joined the celebration.

In a Sept. 19, 2021, article in The Republican announcing STCC as the winner, Dr. John B. Cook said, “I appreciate the support from the community and want to thank our talented faculty and staff for their dedication and commitment to the mission of STCC.”
