Since 1967, Springfield Technical Community College has provided a variety of career programs that serve the changing workforce needs of many industries.

From business administration to biotechnology, to IT security and health careers, STCC is an important resource for both students and employers. Many vocational and technical schools across the state are creating programs to meet the needs of growing and new industries in an effort to help these businesses stay in Massachusetts, and provide stable and well paying jobs for residents.

The Baker administration has been a strong supporter of vocational education and workforce development. The Governor created a Workforce Skills Cabinet that combines resources from the Executive Offices of Education, Labor and Workforce Development, and Housing and Economic Development toward a comprehensive economic growth agenda.

This week on 22News InFocus we’ll be discussing the health science and workforce development programs at STCC.
